Guys, I know who The One is. . .

Ah, the British, I dare say they make the best television of all.

Always full of witty dialogue and beautiful people.
No, I mean really beautiful people.
Way better than these bores.

And I mean Really witty dialogue.

And perhaps really offensive too.

You know, I'm talking about this lot:

I know it's so obvious but I have such a crush on him!

 I mean look at him!

 This is it!
Mark Corrigan you're the one!

Come on Channel 4!
Don't make me wait any longer for Season 8!
I think I'll phone in and complain and make threats.
Yes, this is definitely a good idea!

Oh alright, I suppose I'm excited for Season 3 of these guys too:

Guys, I Swear I Love My New Home

Listen.  I love Alabama.
I love saying I live in Alabama.
I'm just never actually in Alabama.

And it's gonna sound like I'm bragging cause I'm telling you about going to NY (or what I like to call America)

and the Carolinas (where I sat on a lot of beds)

and now I'm back in CA (well this one I will brag about
because I get to stay in a posh hotel and write about it -ha! Sorry).

But I do look forward to more Alabama Time.
Especially if it involves the second cleanest lake in America
(meaning all of America not just NY).
I can vouch - it's pretty gosh darn clean.

Guys, I forgot to talk about birthdays!

April is a crazy month with a million
different birthdays of people I love.

Like my friend from HS and my sister and my life partner.
I mean best friend!

You know, Die Bunny, the girl I still manage to do everything with
even though we live many states apart.
  Just normal friend stuff.

This year I knew I had to get her something extra special
and since I was flying out to see her on the special day
I could make it as big and fragile as I liked. . .

Don't worry, I went with something classy.

Guys, I Love America

And by America I mean NY.

But it is true - New Yorkers do dress crazy good.
And they do love their plaid.

Guys, the Best Thing About Work Travels . . .

Cable TV,
watching a show called
The Whale that Ate Jaws (thanks Nat Geo)
from bed
about a pod of Killer Whales
from Los Angeles
who terrorize White Sharks
in the Red Triangle.
I know.
I know.
Heaven.
What more could I ask for?
Maybe working in this city:
(You know, for Furniture Fashion Week, like the building says.)

Guys, never let me have a kitten

Remember when I said I was THE WORST?
Well, turns out I'm even more horrible than I thought.

I saw this:
And I thought, 'I have to find that gift shop and just see how much those cost. .  .'

Ugh.  Then I saw this:

1. Stupid ATL airport is such a tease.
2. I'm bad because I want a quiet zoo in my house.
3. I am also bad because my first thought was #1 and not #2.

Guys, who loves Depeche Mode?

Obviously we ALL do.
And I cannot stop reading this BLOG POST
Plus Brig's photos trump mine by a lot.
Just like a rainbow Pulp has set me free.

Guys, I have to tell you something serious

During college we all liked a new thing called Cold Stone ice cream.   My favorite was the medium sized white chocolate with caramel and cookie dough in a waffle cone.  Since it was far from where we lived I'd usually get my medium, eat it and order another.
One day a friend went with me and when he saw me eat the medium and order the exact same one he asked with disgust, 'Hey, AM, ever heard of self control?  You don't have to indulge in everything you want.'

He was even smugger than that story would imply.
But he was right.
I had no self control.  I still don't.
I still indulge.
And I can see how that would make people dislike me.

But really, what the cuss do I care?
Cause I saw Pulp last night.

And this is how close our seats were.

I know what you're saying, but you saw Jarvis and said all your dreams had come true. . . You said it RIGHT HERE
But my partner is crime kept reminding me that that doesn't even compare to Pulp.
I should stop saying it comes close.
In fact I should stop talking.

He has a point.
Back to swooning I go.

Guys, I swear I went home for Easter

Even though I'm not in any of the family photos.

But I have proof.

Ta-Da!

Where ever these two are you know I'm probably close by.
Taking the photo.
Forcing poses.
And asking for hugs.

Guys, It's that Time of Year Again

Break out the bunnies.
I'm coming home for Easter.
I was telling someone today I was flying home for Easter and they asked,
'How long has it been since you moved here?'
Good point, dude.  Good point.
I'm going home anyway.

Guys, I have a new hobby

I was going to dedicate my new desk to Alabama.
But, when it came down to it, I had to go back to Prince.

I seriously think I might be addicted to contact paper.

After finishing one side I came Very close to not doing the other side.

I am that lazy sometimes.

But my OCD side took over and I finished Both sides.

Guys, My New Favorite Color is Green

This is where I work.  And  I am not a forest ranger.

And lest you think the only green is at my office, this is the house where the doggies lived (the precious yappy ones I babysat):

Alabama does not mess around with the green.
It's like Seattle only with the sun.
And better food.  And nicer people.
Don't get me wrong, I like Seattle.
I just happen to love Birmingham.
Suddenly I understand 'Sweet Home Alabama.'

The movie not the song.

Guys, do you know what heaven sounds like?

Silence.

It sounds like silence.
Do you know how rare it is to have quiet when house-sitting a house with two tiny dogs?

Listen, these babies have great personalities and are nice, etc. but they never stop yapping.  Except for right this second - which is why I am trying to type sans noise.

Guys, something happened to my car...

Ok, this isn't my car.

But you know what's crazy?

Right after I traded my car into the dealer, I saw that twin car being towed.

My car had a less dramatic ending.

And now I have a car so new it had single digit mileage.

I don't have a photo yet- but trust me- she's gorg.

I might love her more than the bacon grilled cheese with ketchup,
mustard and hot sauce and extra ketchup to dip from Five Guys.

But I haven't made my final decision.
I'll get back to you on that.
