Guys, can you believe i am STILL playing catch up?

Believe it!

So as you know from A Monkey's post, I got married.

And for the whole wedding day my insides felt like this
and this

Then it was the next day and then it was like:

Let the fun times begin.

Right now.

Our families became best friends (I'm serious - our dads text each other maybe all the time) and when my dad suggested a polar bear swim all the guys thought he was a genius.

I, on the other hand, had a mini heart attack and kept telling my new husband to come back to shore once he got wet.  He just wanted to body surf in the unusually large waves for that time of year and we had our first fight. Ha! Just kidding!  I was secretly proud.

These guys might as well move to Philadelphia cause of all the brotherly love going on (am I right? or am I right? boom!).

We had the usual family taco party and played games and danced Gangnam Style.
Well, at least Magic Man did.

Then two days after the wedding I learned that Magic Man was an animal lover, especially birds.  Then we really had our first fight.  Ha! I tricked you again!  I love that he's so rustic and fearless.  Seagulls?  wouldn't go near 'em.

We ate at Ruby's on the pier and by 'ate' I mean 'over ate' -- there is no reason someone (read: me) needs to eat an egg sandwich and cinnamon roll french toast (but if you go - you need to order and eat both.)

And let's not forget Grandma Ginny's newest best friend (that would be Magic Man in case I'm not being clear).  There was so much southern love there I wanted to tell them to 'get a room' but then decided that would sound weird.  But I loved that she approved of and loved him (best reader of all personalities is Grandma Ginny.  Hands Down. It's almost spooky.)

Guys, Let's Play Catch Up

Now that I took control of my blog from A Monkey, I realize I need to tell you all the personal details of my life that I forgot to blog about.

First, Magic!

So we took our first plane trip together in October and made Everyone sick.
Especially when Magic Man swaddled me like a baby.
I'm sorry but I get cold sometimes.

We were flying to CA for a whirlwind weekend where
we had to fit everything wedding related into 3 days.

Let's see what and how we did:
First, this little bromance started.  It's real love.

Magic Man picked out the wedding cake flavors.
He did good.

We did an Arrested Development Tour
(but didn't find the Banana Stand).

Then we tried to play Red Rover on the boardwalk
(no one was game).

We had an awesome family taco party and A Monkey tried to fool everyone into thinking she was the bride-to-be when she showed up in a white dress.

The insanely talented Chelsey B did a hair and make-up preview.

We did a walk through of Strawberry Farms - to see where the wedding would take place (my parents chose it without us seeing it and I could not have been happier.  Magic Man was just content as you can see.)

I just have to say, Southern Guys do it best
-- they won't let you carry Anything.

Magic Man was introduced to my high school / super hip LA friends and now we are going to plan a couples vacation.  Well we didn't decide on that but in my head we will.

Magic Man was a good sport about picking out my wedding shoes.
He only fell asleep once in the store.

We ended the weekend with a dinner at our family joint, Mama D's.  (Which is where my family went to celebrate our engagement the day it happened and when the owner found out he sent free appetizers. And when my dad introduced us this time as 'the couple' we got even More free appetizers.  I love Italian people who own restaurants in California.)

Then it was time to head back to the South.
And I learned how to dress for an airplane ride.
