Guys, don't worry - I had fun in Panama too

We had 1 day off & we did aproveitar (look it up in honor of the World Cup)

What did we do at Bocas del Torro?

We called loved ones

I went to the set of Colombian Survivor (de verdade!)

So if you see it - know they weren't really so far from civilization.

We ate here! Seriously!

I didn't take photos because it was rainy & I forgot to buy a waterproof camera
- but it was a dream.

Then back in Panama . . .

I gave up my seat on the plane to some sucker while I stayed here

But I couldn't really be bothered to go swimming because . . .


. . . I had a hotel suite with multiple rooms!

After no running water & tight spaces - I was pleased as punch.

I liked Panama and all but they were kind of weird with their food issues.

Guys, did you know I hike?

One day in Panama we hiked here:

I know you don't believe me so I had someone document me being there

& yes we did everything in scrubs (I told you my skin didn't see the sun in Panama)

And NO it wasn't a fun+games hike (do those exist?)

We were looking for places that looked like this



So we could teach these:



And maybe try and steal some of this:

I wanted to make a joke about cocaine but I didn't think my mom would like me using the word 'blow' and Duh! we all know they don't really come from the same plant - come on! We stopped confusing Cocao with Coca after the 4th grade, right?

Guys... I'm Back!

Finally!
I get my computer back!

And I can tell you all about Panama.

(I really could Not get enough of that Canal)
Remember - I went there 2+ months ago?

And I worked in this school

in the middle of the jungle

& we had to drive an hour through calla lily fields to get there

& the dogs were like models - the discipline!

Guys . . .

Yes I went to Panama to suffer (I will give you 1 Euro if you can find me - that's just a few pennies right about now, huh?)

but first I want to discuss something muy importante.
(Also I don't have a card reader to get my real photos of the trip onto my compy)

How great is America?

There are parks with keys that not just anyone can visit (I finally got inside thanks to these 2)

& my Persian Princess (Secret Sister) came to visit because she needed some time in America

We have parks for old people like me - that are also dress friendly

There is a store dedicated to The Dude (you know he's half part Man of My Dreams? The other half would be Jack Donaghue, of course)

And once a year we have a Dance Parade (this is a big deal because I Hate parades - and fireworks - but that's another story - but this one made me weep with joy)

& AND in the parade there are floats w/ ladies wearing pasties, loud techno & sleeping babies (tell me you can see the sleeping kid - I wanted a zoom on my camera phone that day so bad. I also wanted to ask the mom if her child was already deaf but it was too loud)

Oh - do you know I call New York 'America?'
This whole time when I was saying 'America' I was talking about one city.
How pretentious and awful is that?

That's why I have to leave here and move somewhere with fancier bath tubs...

...but still has sisters



Plus, this is what I look like when I'm in my Homeland
Really blurry & happy because everyday is a party
(& my dad is secretly hilarious).

Also I just want to live somewhere that has the best basketball teams (NCAA + NBA)

Guys, when in Panama . . .

Always bring your own Panama Hat

And ask someone to take photos who knows how to text
(because if they don't taking a photo on an _Phone will be too difficult a task).

Just know that Panama will kill that foreign hat by the end of the trip

(trust me - it looks awful now)

Guys, did you know I love costume/themed parties?

1st. Do you know how obsessed with Annie I was as a child?

It was border-line scary
Esp. for my poor family.
Why they let me see it in the theater so many times is beyond me.

2nd. Do you know what happens when Lucie is your friend?

Oh, just this:

She throws you Annie-themed parties JUST to cheer me up

& even provides a costume for me!

She even used red T-shirts so her girls could match me!

She made and/or bought my favorite foods

Provided theme-appropriate decor

And sent everyone home with party favors

I´m out of the blasted country right when the best people have birthdays.

April 18 - my special lady friend who will make the only banana bread i can eat and is constantly brushing my hair

April 19 - my unusually smart, poker playing nephew who wins the name game (Arrow? Come on!)

April 22 - my LHHS persian princess who makes me laugh so hard i want to introduce her to strangers

April 22 - my friend who was the bestest thing that ever came from being a Mod Bride

April 23 - my Mother Teresa on Speed sister who makes me feel like a slacker and understands that i need closet space

And these are just the ones I remember off hand. Are there more this week? Probably.

One more reason to love America

We love our snakes.

Just don't tread on us

Or divide us
